Live Now and how

Living in the Present.

A recent forward to my Whatsapp was almost like an anti depressant . It talked about how different people are working in their own time zone about how some one is a  CEO at 25 while someone is only trying to get a  job at 25. About how people are progressing in their life , each one in their own.
So how many times have you felt sad, anxious or just low looking at someone else do what they are doing? Iam not going to use the word better here cos no one is comparing .
I for one, feel so low at times. When i see a batchmate from my MBA school getting a  promotion or when another family goes overseas for a  vacation and we haven’t got a  chance to breathe in peace since a  while.
The insight that keeps me positive is that we have our own tracks and we are moving in those tracks. We start probably at the same pace but with different emotional and physical capacities and capabilities. We move on to the best of our abilities and suddenly there is a  hurdle the one that you have to jump over. If you are physically strong you get over it and move ahead faster than what someone else can. Arent some diseases or ailments like these? There are some people who are so energetic all the time while others aren’t. Some are incapacitated with chronic pains and just can’t fit in as many things in a  day .

And then there is the emotional strength, something that the runner faces . Some think , that they cant catch up anyway and give up. Some, keep going but they are way too stressed all the time and then some are way too strong emotionally and get ahead .

We have our track. We can set our pace. We should get inspired and long to give it your best and thrive to do better each day and we do. What we can never know is what destiny has for us. A chronic ailment, losing a  dear one, an accident...these are things we can never plan for or forsee . These can cause a lot of trauma and stress both emotionally and physically.

So you have your path and you have your triumps and hurdles. You are doing the best you can and yes there is perhaps scope for better. Reach out for the stars, do it -but don’t get dissuaded when there is someone holding the moon. You never know what the other one has faced to get there.
Live now! Enjoy your present. Bring on a  smile and love what you are doing or go after what you  want to.  I do not know what tomorrow will bring but i will cherish my today!

Krishna and Keyur

Krishna and Keyur

The pretty petite girl who lived in a world that was her own. She thought she knew it all. Now nineteen, she felt  she was ready to handle love and a relationship. She never wanted to get into one. So a liking for any guy always remained  a  distant  .
Krishna got through a  good Post grad school .
She couldn't have asked for more! As a person ,She was loud, f unloving , she spoke as though she has seen the world but actually was Naive . She had never seen the bad side of life ever.

Krishna and her friends went to visit Pooja's friend in an Engineering college . The bunch decided to have lunch in the hostel canteen. Krishna was chatting and laughing and talking to her friends . The boy who was serving them was rather slow and 'Chotu' was the name he was being called by . Chotu, Chotu, jaldi chapati de do! called out a Sapna . Chotu was trying his best to cater to this bunch of girls amidst all the boys in Mess of the boys hostel! When krishna got impatient she looked out for Chotu and he was not around, she took a  spoonful of the paneer curry( from which the paneer was absconding!) and slowly tasted it. So spicy! Just then a hand stretched out from beside her and picked the jug of water and Krishna promptly said, Chotu! And as she glanced up she saw this Guy ( not chotu) , who by the tone had stopped in his track, apologising and saying ," i only wanted water". Krishna was way too embarrassed at what happened . Something happened. She was quiet for the rest of the meal wondering if that guy was around. She looked around, but she didn't know how he looked. She had looked at him for a second and looked away embarrassed.
On their way out of the hostel, were standing two guys and one guy couldn't keep his eyes off Krishna. It was him!

She thought about him and smiled , shrugged at how silly this whole thing was!days passed and Krishnas life was usual college and home.
One day a friend in college spoke with her and mentioned that a guy named Keyur wanted her number. Pooja said you remember him dont you? Krishna jogged her memory..ummm no! Your darling Chotu! and burst out laughing.
Krishnas heart skipped a  beat and she she said yes of course you can give my number Pooja. No harm in talking. Is there?

So one evening, Krishnas phone rang, and on the other side was a  voice - soft , clear but unsure. Can i ..Can i talk to Krish Krishna Please? Krishna speaking . Who is this? This is Keyur we met in TIE..Krishna now had butterflies in her stomach and she said yes of course i remember...the chat was short and yet long.

In the coming days,Krishna and Keyur spent a lot of time talking to each other. They spoke for hours! and when they were not talking, they were sending messages to one another. It was over three months since they had last met but somehow it didn't matter to Krishna . She was very fond of Keyur she now literally spoke with only him  and he made her smile.

But, was this all that Keyur wanted?
